At NordicSub, we have once again completed a successful underwater inspection – this time of a ship docked in a Danish port. Using our advanced ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) equipment, the entire hull area and underwater structure was thoroughly inspected – without the need for diving or dry docking.
Underwater inspection with ROV – precise, safe and fast
Using our state-of-the-art underwater drone (ROV), we were able to provide a complete visual survey of the hull and relevant structures. This is an effective method to identify:
🔹 Damage, cracks or flaking on the hull
🔹 Fouling and corrosion
🔹 Condition of anodes, propellers and sea water intake
A good HD recording of the inspection gave both us and the customer a clear picture of the ship’s condition under water.
Complete report and video documentation for the customer
After the inspection, we delivered a detailed inspection report including:
✔️ Timestamped video documentation
✔️ Selected still images in high resolution
✔️ Assessing the condition of the hull
✔️ Recommendations for possible maintenance
This type of ROV inspection in port is both cost-effective and time-saving, and requires no disruption to ship operations.
